Police are looking for a Sophia resident known as “Kevin” in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Celwyn Allen, who was stabbed to death on Christmas night, December 25, 2017.
Allen’s girlfriend, Nalydiah Henry, was also stabbed, allegedly by the same suspect, and is said to be in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Police reported that the incident occurred about 19:30hrs at ‘C’ Field Sophia; it is alleged that Allen interfered with a friend of the suspect when he was stabbed multiple times by the suspect who was armed with a knife.
Not satisfied with the blows inflicted on Allen, the suspect then turned his attention to Henry, who had rushed to her boyfriend’s assistance; she too was stabbed several times.
The two were rushed to the hospital by a police patrol where Allen was pronounced dead on arrival.
