Police have found the skeletal remains suspected to be that of 95-year-old Yuland Gibson, known as “Gippo” which was found in his Johanna Cecilia, Essequibo Coast home on Saturday, December 30, 2017.
News Room understands that Gibson lived alone and was last seen in his partly fenced yard on November 28, 2017, at around 09:00hrs picking up garbage by his 33-year-old neighbour, Bhomeshwar Mohamed.
Mohamed, a miner, left for the interior and returned on Saturday when he observed an obnoxious smell, which emanated from Gibson’s house. The police were contacted and they visited the elderly man’s house when they found his remains on the floor.
The bones were removed and taken to the Suddie Hospital Mortuary for storage. Investigations are ongoing.
