A 40-year-old man was sentenced to three years jail and fined $30,000 fine for the possession of 1/2 gram of cocaine.
Jermain Earl appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, January 8, 2018, where he pleaded guilty to having the illegal drug in his possession on January 6, 2018, at Light Street, Georgetown.
According to reports, ranks on a police patrol observed Earl acting in a suspicious manner and conducted a search on him. The drugs were found in a plastic bag that Earl had in his back pants pocket.
Earl did not have legal representation.
