The Ministry of Public Infrastructure Friday said the Kitty Roundabout project is ahead of the June 2018 completion schedule.
According to a statement from the Ministry, Project Engineer Sherod Parkinson said all necessary steps are being taken to ensure that the project progresses smoothly.
Another phase of the works commenced Friday, including the construction of the circulatory lanes, truck apron, and central island.
This phase of work will require the closure of sections of the roadway namely, Carifesta Avenue heading east, Kitty Public Road heading west to Carifesta Avenue and JB Singh Road heading north to Rupert Craig Highway.
This phase of works is expected to conclude in six to eight weeks.
Drivers are advised to use the alternative roadways, which will be open to vehicular traffic during this time.
Commuters heading north along JB Singh Road who are desirous of heading to the East Coast can detour at David Street.
