A Campbellville Housing Scheme resident was on Thursday remanded to prison for trafficking cannabis.
Udok Anthony Nedd appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and denied that on March 24, 2018, at Lot 121 Campbellville Housing Scheme he had 444 grams of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.
According to a police report, ranks went to Nedd’s house and conducted a raid in his presence when the drugs were found in the kitchen and under his bed.
Police Prosecutor, Sanj Singh told the Court that Nedd told the ranks: “is my own officer, I gon deal with it.”
He was remanded to prison until April 4, 2018.
