Linden man killed after mining pit caves in
A miner of Linden, Region 10 was killed on April 01, 2018 after a mining pit in which he was working caved in at Chinese Creek Backdam, Mazaruni River.
According to the police, Kevin Adams, 25, was working in the pit at around 14:00hrs on Sunday when a wall caved in. Adams was pinned and submerged.
He was subsequently rushed to Bartica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said. The body is presently at a city mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
An investigation has been launched.
