Woman critical after allegedly “jumping” from moving car

A 19-year-old Clerk of Princess Ramada is on life support at a private city hospital after she allegedly jumped from her boyfriend’s car on Sunday night on Lamaha Street, Georgetown.

News Room understands that the 21-year-old boyfriend of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara remains in police custody following allegations that he pushed Sasia Adams, of East Street, Georgetown out of the car.

The incident occurred at approximately 20:30hrs as the couple was heading west on Lamaha Street.

Police said that the young man picked up Adams and rushed her to the private hospital. News Room understands that when Adams arrived at the hospital, she was in a conscious state and told doctors that she fell down.

Investigators visited the scene later the night and obtained CCTV footage from the area.
