The 16-year-old who was reported missing from the Juvenile Holding Centre on August 9th 2018 was recaptured last Thursday, the Ministry of Public Security reported.
The teen was seen at a house in ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Georgetown and the Police were alerted. When the Police arrived, he attempted to escape by scaling a fence and running into thick vegetation. The Police called on him to surrender and he did.
He subsequently appeared in court on Friday last and is currently back in custody at the holding centre.
