‘Fifty’ surrenders in death of Linden man


Travis Hazel, 31, also known as “Fifty”, has surrendered to Police two days after he reportedly caused the death of a 49-year-old man named Leroy Baron.

Baron, who was known for doing odd jobs at the Mackenzie Market, Linden, died after he was severely beaten with a piece of wood by Hazel.

A manhunt was launched for the suspect who hails from Silvercity, Wismar, Linden.

News Room understands that Hazel turned himself in at the Mackenzie Police Station on Monday in the company of his mother.

Hazel reportedly informed officers that he was advised by his lawyer to not answer any questions or give any statement.

A confrontation will be done today with eyewitnesses.
