Two wanted for murder of Corentyne brothers

The Guyana Police Force has issued wanted bulletins for two men in connection with the Old Year’s night murder of two brothers at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne.

The Police in a statement on Monday said several “persons of interest” are in custody aiding with the investigation, while two others are being sought.

Wanted bulletins have been issued for 28-year-old YoujendraJeenarine of Lot 439 Bushlot, Corentyne, Berbice and 32-year-old Kelvin Shivgobin of Belvedere, Corentyne, Berbice.

Police said they are wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Harricharran and PremcharranSamaroo.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Jeenarine and Shivgobin are asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 664-0181, 623-3012, 648-2323, 333-3876, 333-2485, 333-5564, 333-2151-3, 911 or the nearest police station.

The brothers were murdered during a robbery at their mother’s home.

Post mortem examinations done by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh at the Fort Wellington Hospital Mortuary on January 03 found that Premchand died from multiple gunshots while Harricharran died from gunshot injuries to the chest.
