A new hotel has been opened in Guyana; this time at Mon Repos on the East Coast of Demerara.
The Rambrich family and partners officially opened the doors of the Caribbean Inn Hotel, Restaurant and Bar on Saturday night.
“It has always been a dream of the Rambrich family to enter into the hospitality Industry.
“Today I am happy to see that dream become a reality,” said Leekah Rambrich, one of the directors of the hotel.
The launch attracted support from well-known politicians the likes of former President Donald Ramotar and prominent private sector investors.
The Hotel is equipped with 19 large rooms and a restaurant that aims to promote culinary diversity specializing in seafoods accompanied by a modern bar.
President of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana, MitraRamkumar, also addressed the room in support of the new addition to Guyana’s hospitality industry.
He said the tourism and hospital industry will soon to become the new frontier industry in Guyana due to the potential rise in demand for hotel accommodation that will stem from the emergence of the oil and gas sector.
Owner of Caribbean Inn, Tagore Rambrich, told the News Room that he became inspired to pursue the business venture while on a visit to Belize where he observed a vibrant hotel and tourism industry.
Rambrich went on to say that he aims to one day to expand to 50 rooms.
