Youth recently released from prison charged with murder of ‘White Boy’

Another young man, who was recently released from prison appeared before Chief Magistrate (ag) Sherdel Isaacs- Marcus charged with the murder of 20-year-old Patrick Fraser popularly known as ‘White Boy’ who was shot dead while liming with friends in Norton Street, Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on May 9.

Twenty-three-year-old Shamar Moore known as ‘Frankie’ of Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara is now jointly charged with Kevin Rose, 22, of Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD.

Rose was initially charged with the murder on May 21, 2019, however, that charge was dismissed and he is now jointly charged with Moore.

They were not required to plea to the capital offence, which stated that they murdered Fraser while being in the company of others on May 9 during the course or furtherance of a robbery.

In court, Rose explained that he was released from prison on April 1, 2019, after serving a four-year sentence on a drug trafficking charge. Meanwhile, Moore told the court that he was released from Prison on April 3, 2019, after serving a nine-month sentence for robbery under arms.

Moore further explained that he is currently before the Wales Magistrate’s Court on firearm-related charges.

The Chief Magistrate (ag) remanded the duo to prison until July 19, 2019.

The News Room had reported that the shooting took place at an abandoned house which is a known “drug yard” in the community.

Police said that Fraser, who resided at Republic Park, EBD, was consuming alcohol with friends when “someone discharged two rounds at him” at around 20:30 hrs.

The young man, who is related to the owner of C&F Harbour Bridge Mall, was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre by a friend where he died while receiving treatment.

Fraser received a gunshot wound to his right upper leg and one to his right side rib which exited his left side.

Police recovered a.32 spent shell, one warhead, a pair of black and orange slippers and a white Polo cap at the crime scene.
