A 26-year-old wash bay attendant was on Tuesday sentenced to six-months jail for stealing 170 pounds of chicken from the popular Mandela BBQ eatery ‘Grill Kings.’
Omalo Dick of ‘A’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was found guilty by Magistrate Rhondel Weaver at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and was jailed in absentia since he did not appear in court for the ruling.
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Dick was found guilty of stealing 170 pounds of chicken valued $51,680 property of Rawle Burkett on June 22, 2019, at Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
According to reports, Dick was employed by Burkett.
