Meten-meer-zorg man who killed fisherman arrested


The Meten-meer-zorg, West Coast Demerara man who stabbed a young fisherman to death Sunday night has been arrested.

Divisional Commander Linden Lord said that that murder suspect Ramesh Ramdeen called Braffy, 20 was arrested Tuesday morning at Parika, East Bank Essequibo by the Divisional Detective Inspector and ranks.

Ramdeen is accused of stabbing Noel Rampersaud, 22, and pushing him into a gutter. Residents tried in vain to keep Rampersaud alive but he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

Ramdeen is in custody and is expected to be charged soon.
