The trial into the brutal murder of 45-year-old United States-based Guyanese trader, Samantha Benjamin commenced on Wednesday at the Georgetown High Court.
Benjamin’s dismembered body was found at the Annandale foreshore, East Coast Demerara in 2015.
Twenty-five-year old Imran Ramsaywack known as ‘Kevin Jones’, ‘Coolie Boy’ and ‘Ramsa’, of Adelphi Village, East Canje, Berbice appeared before Justice Sandil Kissoon and a 12-member jury.
He denied the indictment which alleged that he murdered the businesswoman between March 25-26, 2015.
