The Region Four Returning Officer (RO) Clairmont Mingo has been discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital hours after he was rushed there when he complained of feeling unwell.
The News Room observed Mr Mingo walking out of the GPHC and then entering a waiting car; he is said to be heading back to his office where he was verifying ballots for Region Four.
A local observer told the News Room that Mr Mingo was seen vomiting at the Returning Office, which is situated at High and Hadfield Streets early Wednesday.
The Returning Officer last evening suspended verification of the ballots for Region Four and was due to restart at 9:00 a.m. but the process has been delayed.
Region Four is the country’s largest voting region.
