The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) is urging persons to wear a protective mask when visiting housing offices countrywide.

A statement from CH&PA Wednesday noted that this and other measures are being implemented in light of the dangers posed by the “recent rise of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.”

“This is an additional measure that supports an earlier initiative where officials have erected a pipe at the western entrance of the Brickdam offices to facilitate the handwashing procedure. Similar initiatives are being implemented at our Regional Offices.

“Please note that this move forms part of the precautionary measures implemented by the agency to protect our staff as well as you, our valued customers. Consequently, the agency has suspended all field exercises, processing of application forms and planning permission applications.”

The CH&PA is also urging all to continue to observe the precautionary measures as outlined by PAHO/WHO and the Ministry of Public Health.
