COVID-19: 21 persons who came from Barbados cleared to leave quarantine facility; confirmed cases remain at 37

The Ministry of Health has announced that as of noon April 09, Guyana still had 37 confirmed cases of the new Coronavirus disease, which includes six deaths.

Of this total, four persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and one is in a critical condition.

In their daily update, the Public Health Ministry revealed that the 21 persons who recently returned from Barbados have been cleared to go home while seven persons who were on home quarantined were also cleared.

It was further revealed that a total of 152 persons were tested for the disease.

The number of persons in institutional quarantine is 11 while 22 are in isolation facilities.
