Police are investigating the murder of 62-year-old Tameshwarie Sonilal who was stabbed to death on Sunday night at her lot 2 Goed Hope, Canal No.1 Polder, West Bank Demerara home.
Police said the incident occurred between 19:00h and 20:30h allegedly by a known male who goes by the alias ‘Gepper.’
“Stringent efforts are currently being made to have him quickly apprehended and brought to justice,” Police Headquarters said in a statement Monday.
The body is at Ezekiel’s Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
