President Ali to swear in Cabinet members today

President Dr Irfaan Ali will be swearing-in members of his Cabinet today. A media advisory from the Ministry of the Presidency revealed that the ceremony will take place at 3 pm at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre at Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown.

Dr Ali was sworn in as Guyana’s ninth Executive President on Sunday last. Immediately after, he appointed Brigadier retired Mark Phillips as the Prime Minister, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo as Vice President, Anil Nandlall as Attorney General and Gail Teixeira as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance.

The News Room understands that President Ali’s cabinet will have some new faces.
