The Ministry of Health has revealed another COVID-10 death on Thursday taking the overall death toll to 61.
The Ministry in a statement said an 83-year-old woman from Demerara/Mahaica, Region Four died on Thursday at about 15:00h while receiving care at a medical facility.
However, this latest fatality was not recorded in the Ministry’s daily COVID-19 dashboard.
Additionally, the country recorded 43 new COVID-19 cases with 16 patients in the COVID-19 ICU, 584 in home isolation and 65 in institutional isolation.
Of the total new cases, Region One recorded seven new cases, Region Two recorded one case, Region Three recorded three new cases, Region Four recorded 25 more cases and Region Seven has seven new cases.
So far, 1, 302 persons have recovered and a total of 11, 511 tests were done.
