88 new COVID-19 cases, majority recorded in Region Four

Guyana on Sunday recorded 88 new cases of COVID-19 with Region Four accounting for 59 cases. This brings the overall number of confirmed cases to 3, 093. There are 15 patients in the COVID-19 ICU, 152 in institutional isolation and 920 in home isolation.

The number of recoveries to date is 1, 920 and the number of deaths is 87.

The Ministry earlier on Sunday reported latest fatality as a 68-year-old male from Bartica, Region Seven.

The other regions that recorded new cases include Region One with 16 new cases, Region Three with seven new cases, Region Seven with four new cases and Regions Eight and Ten each recorded one new case.
The number of tests done to date is 14, 815.
