Police have charged, Parmanan Rambarran a 29-year-old labourer known as ‘Flushing’ with the murder of 50-year-old Christopher Findlay of Agriculture Road, Triumph, East Coast Demerara (E.C.D).

Rambarran of Kadoo Street, Triumph, was arrested on Thursday and appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate R Liverpool on Tuesday.

Rambarran was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to prison. The case was adjourned to February 1, 2020.

Findlay was found dead in his home on Friday last with injuries to his left eye, face and elbow after he had a misunderstanding, allegedly with Rambarran.

Police Headquarters reported that Findlay was killed sometime between 08:00h and 12:00h since he was last seen alive by a neighbour at about 08:00h.

Police said the neighbour went to check on Findlay after he was not seen or heard from and found him lying motionless.

He was taken to the Beterverwagting Health Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A Post Mortem on Monday found that he died from blunt trauma to the head.
