Reg. 4 accounts for 41 of 65 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 65 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Wednesday from 410 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 7, 015.

Region Four accounted for the majority of new cases. Forty-one persons tested positive for the virus in Region Four, while one person each tested positive in Regions One, Six, Seven, and Eight.

Another 11 persons tested positive in Region Three, two persons tested positive in Region Nine and seven persons in Region Ten.

To date, a total of 6, 266 persons have recovered and 170 have died.

There are 543 patients in home isolation, 29 patients are in institutional isolation and seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
