68 of 107 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Reg. 7

A total of 107 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Friday from 713 tests, taking Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 7,887.
Region Seven (Cuyuni- Mazaruni) has recorded 68 new cases while Region Four recorded 29; Region Three recorded six new cases and two new cases were recorded for Region Two. Regions One and Eight recorded one new case each. Regions Five, Six, Nine and Ten recorded no new cases.
To date, 6,901 persons have recovered with one death recorded earlier Friday, pushing the total number of deaths to 180.
There are 746 patients in home isolation, 56 patients are in institutional isolation and five patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
