COVID-19 death toll now 180

Guyana’s COVID-19 death toll reached 180 on Friday after the Ministry of Health announced the latest fatality – an 86-year-old man from Region Four (Demerara – Mahaica).

The Ministry in a statement revealed that the patient died while receiving medical care at a facility. The patient is the third person to have died for February. Two deaths were also recorded on Wednesday – a 73-year-old man from Region One (Barima-Waini) and a 54-year-old male from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) – also died while receiving medical care.
