43 new COVID cases from 261 tests

A total of 43 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Thursday from 261 tests, taking the overall number of known cases to 8, 135.

Region Four accounted for the majority of the new cases with 24, while Regions Five and Ten each recorded four new cases; Regions One and Three also recorded two new cases each and Region Six recorded one new case.

The Ministry of Health earlier on Thursday reported two additional COVID-19 deaths, taking the death toll to 184. To date, 7, 157 persons have recovered from the dreaded virus.

There are 768 patients in home isolation, 37 patients are in institutional isolation and seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
