Linden man remanded for beating, burning sisters
Twenty-nine-year-old Rajin Allen of Block 22, Wismar, Linden, was remanded to prison on Thursday after he was charged with two counts of felonious wounding.
Allen, who is accused of brutally beating and burning his ex-lover, 21-year-old Manisha Singh and her 18-year-old sister, Sunita, appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Wanda Fortune.
He was remanded to prison until April 19, 2021.
After the gruesome attack on the sisters, Allen posted to this Facebook page and said: “I didn’t want to do it, but I sacrificed years of my life, while she out there living her best life…she out there partying and want deh with the most regular boys. I does have to beg she to come and see she children.”
Allen further posted that there was no argument between him and Manisha, who is the mother of his three children.
According to reports, on Monday, April 29, 2021, Allen and Manisha got into an argument after she refused to give him the password to her phone.
The News Room has reported that Manisha ended the relationship with Allen four months ago after years of abuse. On the day in question, she and her sister were visiting her children when it is alleged that Allen attacked them.
Sunita was doused with a mug of hot water and received second-degree burns to her face, head, shoulder and neck. Manisha was beaten with a piece of wood and a concrete block, and as a result, she is now suffering from a fractured skull and internal bleeding. Her right leg is also broken in two places.
The sisters were beaten until they lost consciousness and Allen escaped.
Hours later, he turned himself in at the Mackenzie Police Station.
