Cyril’s Transportation Service has aided the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) in its current flood relief efforts by donating G$1 million on Wednesday.
Cyril’s Contract Service Manager, Nastassaja Pickett, said the company had to ensure it fulfilled its corporate social responsibility in these trying times, as thousands of persons in Guyana are affected by severe flooding.
CDC’s Deputy Director-General, Major Loring Benons, expressed thanks for the timely contribution.
President Dr. Irfaan Ali on Wednesday announced that the CDC has advised that the flood situation across the country is now a Level 2 Disaster.
