Police are on the hunt for two armed bandits who pulled off a daring daylight robbery at Better Hope East Coast Demerara on Friday.
According to a Police report, the incident occurred sometime around around 08:45 hrs.
A 40-year-old businessman, his 38-year-old housewife and another man were in their yard when the suspects approached them on a motorcycle.
One of the suspects, who was reportedly armed with a handgun, ran into the yard demanding valuables. The victims were told to lay on the ground while were relieved of their valuables.
The armed suspect then re-joined his accomplice before discharging a round and escaping.
Police said the men escaped with one white iPhone 12 Pro Max valued at $320,000, one gold iPhone 12 Pro Max valued at $320,000, one black Samsung Tablet valued at $80,000 and $300,000 cash.
Investigations are ongoing.
