Driver in Liliendaal hit and run that left pedestrian with broken legs surrenders

The driver in last Friday’s hit and run accident at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara, that left a pedestrian with broken legs has turned himself in.

The pedestrian, whom Police said was about 60-years-old, was struck down by motorcar PZZ 1276 on August 6, 2021.

On Monday, August 9, 2021, the driver Sangodele Mentore, 50, of Kaieteur Road, Bel Air Park, Georgetown, turned himself in at the Turkeyen Police Station, East Coast Demerara.

He was taken into custody pending the following charges: failure to render assistance, failure to report an accident and failing to stop after an accident.
