Police are investigating the armed robbery of a 23-year-old woman and her husband, which occurred just after midnight on Friday while they were walking along the La Grange Public Road, West Bank Demerara.
Police Headquarters in a statement noted that the two bandits were armed wit with a handgun and a knife; they stole a haversack containing an ID card, a bank card, and an umbrella; $42,000 in cash, a Blu Cellphone valued at $4,000, and a silver metal chain valued at $17,000.
The bandits escaped on foot.
