The Guyana Police Force has issued a wanted bulletin for 27-year-old Shane Samaroo also known as Travis Cortis and ‘Tanta Bai’ in connection with the brutal murder of 48-year-old Feroze Khan.

Khan of Carriage Road, Rosignol, West Coast Berbice, was beaten and stabbed to death on August 19, 2021, at Bennet Dam, Rosignol.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Samaroo is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 330-2222, 232-0313, 221-2296, 911, or the nearest police station. Police Headquarters reported Samaroo’s last known address as Railway Line, Rosignol.

All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

The News Room had reported that Khan was at a grocery shop at Bennet Dam when Samaroo entered, purchased a bottle of water and subsequently left.

He reportedly then picked up a piece of wood, ran towards Khan who was walking in the street and dealt him several lashes about the body.

An eyewitness told police that Khan fell to the ground and the suspect then whipped out a knife from his pants and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

Khan was taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
