‘Ratty’ wanted for murder of Kaneville gold miner
Police on Tuesday said investigators were in pursuit of Seon Caesar called ‘Ratty’ for questioning in relation to the murder of 36-year-old miner Nelson Thomas called ‘Rambo’.
A wanted bulletin was issued for Caesar asking anyone with information that may lead to his arrest to contact the police on telephone numbers 620-1943, 225-2700, 227-0968, 226-6978, 225-8196, 216-0252, 216-0254, 911 or the nearest police station.
All information will be treated with the strictest confidence, the police said.
Caesar is a 25-year-old with his last known address being Kaneville, East Bank Demerara.
Thomas, the father of a newborn baby, was tragically stabbed to death during an alleged robbery on the night of September 9, 2021 in Kaneville.
Police Headquarters reported that Thomas and his wife returned from the interior the same day to have their baby registered. At about 19:00hrs, on the night in question, Thomas told his mother that he was going to visit his uncle who lives two streets away.
Police said at about 21:30hrs, a resident claimed he awaken by someone calling his name and upon investigating, he found a bloodied Thomas lying motionless under a shed in his (the resident) yard.
The resident called the police and reported the matter at the Grove Police Station.
