A 23-year-old man accused of swindling over $580,000 from his employer, Safeway Security, was on Monday hauled before City Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus on 15 larceny charges.
Darrell LaFargue of North Sophia pleaded not guilty to the 15 charges which alleged that between August-September, 2021, at Regent Street, Georgetown while being employed by Safeway Security he stole $585,028.
The Police Prosecutor told the court that 41 more charges will be instituted against LaFargue in relation to an ongoing larceny investigation at the security company.
The Magistrate initially released LaFargue on $600,000 bail with the condition that he report to the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters at Eve Leary.
But on revision, the bail was reduced to $450,000. The case is adjourned until November 1, 2021.
