A popular boat operator from Spring Garden, Essequibo Coast, was shot by a lone bandit early on Tuesday. Mohammed Gafoor, also known as ‘Tremor’ was shot to his arm.
The incident occurred sometime around 12:30hrs on Tuesday. The News Room understands that Gafoor had returned from Buck Hall when he was confronted by the lone gunman while he was trying to open his door.
As a result, a scuffle ensued between Gafoor and the gunmen, during which the gunman took out the weapon, hit him to the head and shot him to the arm.
Gafoor fell to the ground and was rushed by his wife to the Suddie Public Hospital where he is currently hospitalised.
