Carl Craig, a 50-year-old canter driver, was charged for causing death by dangerous driving following the fatal accident involving Linden couple Nicholas Valcin, 42, and Olisa Valcin, 31.
Craig was charged on Monday at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court on the East Bank of Demerara (ECD). He appeared before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman where he pleaded not guilty.
He was, however, charged on two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. Subsequently, he was placed on $500,000 bail for each count.
The matter has been adjourned to December 15.
