    Guyanese Isai Thorne and Matthew Nandu contributed with ball and bat respectively in the second West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 warm-up game at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua on Monday.

    Team DePeiza defeated Team Auguste by two wickets with two balls to spare.

    Batting first, Team Auguste made 225 all out in 49.3 overs with Justin Beckford making 52 off 72 balls (3x4s, 1×6), Carlon Bowen Tuckett 44 off 48 (6x4s) and Nandu 39 off 69 (5x4s).

    Bowling for Team DePeiza, Andel Gordon took 3-31, Johan Layne 2-33, Onaje Amory 2-34 and Jaden Carmichael 2-51.

    Team DePeiza responded with 226-8 from 49.4 overs with Rivaldo Clarke made 51 off 50 (5x4s, 1×6), Sion Hackett 31 off 39 (1×4, 1×6) and Carmichael 30* off 48 (3x4s).

    Bowling for Team Auguste, fast bowler Thorne picked up 4-47.

    In game one, Team Auguste posted 210 all out in 42.5 overs, to which Team DePeiza responded with 212-4 from 42.3 overs.

    The West Indies Rising Stars Under-19s are preparing for the prestigious ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup tournament, which will be hosted by Cricket West Indies in the Caribbean from January 4 to February 3, 2022.

    The warm-up games are part of a five-match series to finalise the squad preparation for the global event.

    Game three is on Thursday (November 25) at the same venue.
