58 new COVID cases; 10 in ICU
Guyana recorded 58 new COVID-19 cases from 738 tests, taking the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 62, 856.
The death toll stands at 1, 216 overall and 45 for February. No new deaths were reported on Friday.
The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region One (two cases), Region Three (three cases), Region Four (19 cases), Region Five (eight cases), Region Seven (two cases) and Region Nine (24 cases).
There are 10 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 40 are in institutional isolation and 713 are in home isolation.
To date, 60, 877 people have recovered from the virus.
