20 new COVID-19 cases, 5 in ICU

The Ministry of Health on Friday recorded another 20 COVID-19 infections.

With these new cases, the total number of confirmed cases since March 11, 2020, has increased to 63,127. Importantly, though, no additional deaths were recorded. As such, the overall death toll remained at 1,224.

The new infections were recorded from: Region Two (one case), Region Three (five cases), Region Four (eight cases), Region Six (three cases) and Region Nine (three cases).

There are also five patients receiving critical care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), nine people are in institutional isolation, 11 people are in institutional quarantine and 199 people are in home isolation.

And a total of 61,690 people have recovered after they were infected with the virus.
