Enmore to host visiting American Cricket Society on Saturday

The Enmore Community Centre Cricket Club will on Saturday (March 19) play host to the American Cricket Society currently on tour of Guyana.

The two teams will clash in a goodwill 30-over match at the Enmore Community Centre Ground, a venue which hosted practice sessions during the ICC Under-19 Men’s 50-over World Cup in January.

Action will bowl off at noon and a keenly contested match is anticipated.

Jonathon Foo is expected to turn out for ACS

ACS was formed in the 1980s and is comprised of several former Guyana and USA national players. They have toured Guyana on several occasions.

Among some of the top players expected to turn out for ACS are former Guyana youth players Akshay Homraj, Karan Ganesh, Dominique Ricki, Jonathon Foo, Kevon Boodie and Jeetendra Sookdeo.

Enmore will be led by veteran batsman Bheemraj Ramkelawan and includes former First-Class leg-spinner Amir Khan and national Under-17 player Chaitram Balgobin.

ACS: Trinson Carmichael, Karan Ganesh, Avin Gangadin, Akshay Homraj, Damion Jacobs, Amarnauth Persaud, Emanuel Seecharran, Dominique Rikhi, Stefan Rampersaud, Randall Wilson, Charlton Senior, Terry Hastoo, Kevon Boodie, Jonathan Foo, Jeetendra Sookdeo and Keshram Seyhodan.

Admission to the venue is free. Live commentary would be provided at the venue, while the game would be live streamed.
