Attoya Harvey increased Guyana’s medal tally to five at the 49th Carifta Games in Kingston, Jamaica, when she won silver in the Girls under-20 3000m on Sunday evening.
Harvey clocked 10:51.40s to finish behind Jamaica’s Samantha Pryce (10:40.07s) while another Jamaican, Ashara Frater (11:03.76s), got bronze.
Harvey won gold in the 1500m via a stunning race on Saturday.
Earlier on Sunday, Anisha Gibbons won Guyana’s second gold medal while competing in the Girls’ 17-19 javelin event.
Narissa McPherson (U-17 400m) and Javon Roberts (U-17 1500m) were the other Guyanese on the podium on the opening day, both securing silver medals.
