Man who murdered teen son captured
Police in Region One (Barima-Waini) with the assistance of the community policing group and residents captured 30-year-old Nigel Abraham who is wanted for the murder of his teenage foster son, Daniel Wilson.
Police Headquarters revealed on Friday that Abraham is in police custody at Mabaruma but no information relating to when, where or how he was captured was released to the press.
The incident occurred on April 17 at Black Water, North West District in Region One.
Wilson was stabbed to death while his cousin, 19-year-old Ron Moonsammy, was in a critical condition at the Mabaruma Hospital after he too was stabbed when he intervened in the fracas between the father and son.
Police Headquarters reported that the incident occurred at about 22:00hrs while the three men were imbibing and an argument ensued. It is alleged that the foster father took a knife and viscously stabbed the young man.
