18-year-old forward Omari Glasgow continued his meteoric rise on Saturday evening, scoring twice to hand Guyana’s Golden Jaguars a come-from-behind victory against Montserrat in League B of the Concacaf Nations League.
Glasgow, who plays for Chicago Fire FC II in the Major League Soccer Next Pro play, scored twice within 10 minutes in the second half to hand Guyana full points from the contest.
The young footballer first netted in the 61st minute to draw the scores level, and then put Guyana ahead with a second strike in the 71st.
Adrian Clifton had earlier given Montserrat the lead with a goal 21 minutes into the game.
Jamaal Shabazz men are aiming to top the group, which would guarantee them an automatic spot in the Concacaf Gold Cup finals. A second place finish in the group will see them having to contest the Gold Cup preliminaries.
The Golden Jaguars will now return home to face Bermuda (June 7) and Haiti (June 11) at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
