More than two weeks after he reportedly set his friend on fire, Christian Joseph called ‘Son Son’ of Kitty, Georgetown was arrested in Puruni, Region Seven.
A short statement from Police Headquarters reported that Joseph was captured at around 04:00hrs on Thursday and was being escorted to the Bartica Police Station.
Sheldon Harry, 22, was set on fire on June 5 at Puruni Landing and succumbed to his injuries on June 20. Harry’s girlfriend was also set on fire; she has since been discharged from the hospital.
The couple was reportedly set on fire by Joseph during an argument.
Days after the incident, police issued a wanted bulletin for Joseph.
