Request fulfilled on the spot! Sport Minister delivers equipment to Buxtonians

Within half hour of a making a request for assistance at the Ministerial Outreach on Monday, residents of Buxton were presented with critical pieces of equipment that will help youths in the village, sportsmen and women.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr. made a commitment at the meeting that a pair of modern, professional fibre glass basketball backboards and hoops, a John Deere tractor and grasscutters would be delivered within 30 minutes, and it was done.

In making his commitment, Minister Ramson Jr. emphasised that President Irfaan Ali’s government is about delivering on its promises and fostering transformational development.

The Minister reminded the residents that the commitment made by President Ali to resurface the road was completed, and his (Minister Ramson) commitment to deliver on the eight 50-feet concrete poles with lights and underground wiring was also fulfilled.

In so doing, the Minister said to Buxtonians that there is already a proven track record in under two years that the government is serious about action and development.

Minister Ramson Jr. was accompanied by members of the National Sports Commission, including Chairman Kashif Muhammad, and members Cristy Campbell and Dellon Davidson, Director of Sport Steve Ninvalle and Director of Youth, Suresh Singh.
