Three members of the Everest Cricket Club, Anthony Khan, Nityanand Mathura, and Golcharran Chulai, have been selected to the National Under-17 squad for the upcoming Regional Tournament from July 17-28 in Trinidad and Tobago.
A statement from the club on Wednesday indicated, “It is a great joy seeing members from our youth programme progress into the National setup, and we wish them well along with their teammates for a successful tournament.”
The Camp Road institution already boasts of having several players in the senior Guyana Harpy Eagles setup, and some currently in the West Indies squads.
The club which has some of the better facilities in the country, has created a fluid policy for youth cricketers to join and be given a platform to showcase their talent.
The Everest trio is encamped with the squad at the La Bonne Intention Cricket Facility, East Coast Demerara.
