13 new COVID cases, one in ICU

Some 13 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

The new cases take the total number of infections recorded in Guyana since March 2020 to 70,470.

The new cases were recorded in Region Four (six cases) and Region Eight (seven cases).

Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 patients in institutional isolation, and 420 patients in home isolation.

To date, 68, 719 people have recovered and 1.275 deaths have been recorded.
