Royston Hilliman, a 47-year-old vendor of Main Street Amelia’s Ward, Linden who was arrested Tuesday with a gun and a quantity of narcotics was charged on Friday.
The charges are for possession of narcotics (two grams of cannabis and 19 grams of Methamphetamine).
He was also charged with possession of firearm and ammunition without a license. This charge was laid under Section 16 (2) (a) of the Firearm Act, Chapter 16:05.
Hilliman appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Wanda Fortune.
He entered a guilty plea to the possession of cannabis charge and was fined $5,000.
He pleaded not guilty to the other charges and was placed on $40,000 bail for the possession of narcotics (methamphetamine) and $200,000 bail for the possession of firearm.
