With a high demand for accommodation due to exponential economic growth, a new luxury boutique hotel being erected at Lama Avenue, Bel Air Park, Georgetown aims to add approximately 30 self-contained luxury rooms to the market at competitive prices.

The new hotel is being developed by Alchrshawn Inc – the developers of the Sharon’s Building which was destroyed by fire in 2021 – and will be similarly designed using contemporary architectural design and equipped with all modern amenities.

During an interview with the News Room, Chief Executive Officer of Alchrshawn Inc, Chrismichael Pertab said that the project is expected to be completed in summer 2023 and will cater for both long term and short term customers.

“We see it as a necessity,” Pertab said, relating that with evident growth in local tourism and exponential economic growth, the rooms are much needed to help to offset the high demand for accommodation, especially during peak periods such as when the Cricket Carnival is in town.

“Companies in the oil and gas sector, or any sector that’s experiencing this growth, need places to stay and we want to contribute to, you know, them having more options and them having the same amount of luxuries of the other hotels but at a fair price,” Pertab said.

The hotel, which is being developed in one of the most affluent residential communities in Georgetown, also aims to contribute to the economic growth of the community where Pertab’s family lived for over 50 years.

The hotel will feature adequate parking facilities for customers, rooftop recreational activities including a rooftop gazebo, a lavish flower garden, and a hot tub/pool which can accommodate a maximum of eight persons.

Each floor consists of both front and rear patios and balconies, and selected rooms will offer a personal private pool and lounging areas.

The developers are open to speaking with any companies or organizations that may be looking for extended stay accommodations.
